Introduction

Technosophia is an interactive electronic presentation of the philosophy of art in Plato and Aristotle, sponsored by the Michelis Foundation and created by the Archelogos Projects. The arguments of Plato and Aristotle on artistic themes are presented in graphic form by a number of methods, which are accompanied by philosophical essays describing the thought of the philosophers on selected central topics. A cultural archive of articles and images illuminates the artistic background to the views of Plato and Aristotle, and their lasting influence on later aesthetic thought.
